Role Overview

Game Analysts are the competitive intelligence and design researchers of Foehammer Studios. They play and analyse games, dissect mechanics systems, identify design trends, and inform development decisions through comprehensive research. Game Analysts bridge the gap between player experience and design implementation, providing actionable insights that improve game quality and competitive positioning.

Game Analysts focus primarily on FPS games but are not limited to this genre. They analyse multiplayer, singleplayer, MMO, survival games, competitive shooters, casual games, and any titles that could provide valuable ideas, mechanics inspiration, or design lessons relevant to Foehammer Studios' development roadmap.

This role encompasses everything from playing competitor games and documenting mechanics to analysing design trends, studying player psychology, creating feature comparisons, and producing detailed analysis reports. Analysts use gaming expertise, analytical thinking, and documentation skills to extract valuable lessons from the broader gaming landscape.
